This record contains bottle cast data, collected by ISLAS ORCADAS
ship (cruise 16) in the North Atlantic Ocean. This data is in CTD-78
format (binary) and included in the documentation is a description
of the format used. The data was supplied by Dr. A. Gordon
of Lamont-Doherty Earth Geological Observatory, Palisades, N.Y. Cruise
16 data was collected during April 7 to May 21, 1978.
Original data was on tapes D00681 and W12629. The data was offline as of
September 27, 2004 so it can not be determined at this point if the data
has been converted to current NODC storage format.
