资源简介:
Bedload-transport capacity models of the Siletz River, Oregon, were developed using standard sediment transport equations (Parker, 1990a,b; Wilcock and Crowe, 2003; Recking, 2013) for the reach from Moonshine Park to the town of Siletz, Oregon (river kilometers 87.2 to 68.5) to evaluate bedload transport capacity over a broad range of streamflows. Models were used to assess longitudinal changes in bedload transport capacity and identify locations where deposition of sands, gravels, and cobbles is most likely. Model inputs included results from a one-dimensional hydraulic model (White and others, 2025), measured surficial and subsurface particle-size data (Jones and Keith, 2021), and streamflows (U.S. Geological Survey, 2024). Details on the bedload-transport capacity models, including sediment transport equations, hydraulic and sediment inputs, and results can be found in the accompanying report (Jones and others, 2025). This documentation describes the zipped folder containing the bedload sediment transport capacity model files for the Siletz River including input, model, and output files. This documentation also describes associated readme text. Users are advised to read the dataset's metadata and readme files and associated report (Jones and others, 2025) thoroughly to understand appropriate use and data limitations.
