This project utilizes Next Generation Sequencing to characterize a novel Bat Gammaherpesvirus obtained from a Myotis velifer inactus (MVI-it) cell line deposited at the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC (CRL-6012)). As part of this project we will generate both RNA-seq data as well as a complete genome sequence for this novel virus.
