Lactococcus lactis subsp. cremoris 7-1 is a lactic acid bacteria isolated from traditional fermented milk products in Mongolia. Strain 7-1 showed unique adhesive ability to porcine gastric mucin in vitro which was affected by the types of carbon sources used to culture media. To elucidate molecular mechanisms underlying environment-depending adhesive activity, genomic information of strain 7-1 was analyzed.
