The resolution of the newly launched entinel satellite in time-space-spectrum is much higher than that of the traditional satellite. Sentinel-2 increases the red-edge band which is more sensitive to vegetation. It can overcome the limitation of time, space and spectral resolution of LAI inversion based on traditional satellite data, and improve the accuracy and frequency of crop LAI inversion in an all-round way. The product data set is based on quarterly data, including the inversion information of the vegetation leaf area index (LAI) of cultivated land, forest and grassland in the key regions of the world, such as Northeast China, Huanghuaihai and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, Greater Hinggan Mountains, Hulunbeir Forests and Grasslands, North America's main grain producing areas, Amazon and so on. This sequential product is helpful for emergency monitoring of crop growth and forest monitoring in key areas.
