The TNSmart Multi-Hazard Alert Response and Tracking Platform from Tamil Nadu provides a dataset detailing daily rainfall measurements across the state, captured from various monitoring stations. Each entry in the dataset includes the station's name, its district location, and the recorded rainfall level, presented in millimeters (mm). This information is accessible both on an interactive map and in a downloadable PDF format. Users can also retrieve historical data from the platform. The rainfall measurements provided by the TNSmart platform are categorized into the following levels, each represented with a specific color code to denote the intensity of rainfall:
No rain: 0 mm
Very light rain: 0 - 0.1 mm
Light rain: 0.2 - 7.6 mm
Moderate rain: 7.7 - 64.4 mm
Heavy rain: 64.5 - 115.5 mm
Very heavy rain: 115.6 - 204.4 mm
Extreme heavy rain: 204.4 mm or more
These categories help in quickly identifying the severity of rainfall across different regions of Tamil Nadu as recorded by the TNSmart platform.
