Structural and spectral indices derived from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for European grasslands: A systematic review

This dataset contains the literature-extraction data compiled for the systematic review entitled “Structural and spectral indices derived from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for European grasslands: A systematic review.” The review considered publications from 2000 to 2025, with the final literature search conducted in April 2026. A total of 64 studies met the eligibility criteria and were included in the review. Although the publication period searched extended from 2000 to 2025, the included studies were published between 2015 and 2025. The dataset brings together information extracted from the included studies to support the synthesis of UAV-derived structural and spectral indices used in European grassland research. It documents study characteristics and methodological information used to organize, compare, and synthesize the reviewed literature. The data are provided in Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) format and support the analyses and summaries presented in the associated manuscript. The dataset is shared to enhance the transparency and reproducibility of the review and to facilitate further research on UAV-based grassland monitoring.
