Geospatial data for the Medieval road system in the Levant (Bilād al-Šām)
收藏资源简介:
Geospatial data of the reconstructed Medieval road network and associated sites in the Levant collected in the project 'VIA-TARIQ: Analysing the long-term change and persistency of the Roman road system in the Levant'. The data were created by digitising the available evidence for roads, routes, itineraries, road stations, bridges, and settlements found in available published evidence (see bibliography.md for the bibliography used in the project). The dataset was created to perform geospatial and network analyses and to compare the Medieval road network with the Roman road network in the project. See readme.md for description of the data structure. The project 'VIA-TARIQ: Analysing the long-term change and persistency of the Roman road system in the Levant' has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement No 101151931.
