VPRS 17583 Executive Committees Minutes and Agenda Papers

This series comprises the Executive Committees Minutes and Agenda Papers from The Royal Women's Hospital. After nine years being part of a health care network with the Royal Children's Hospital, The Royal Women's Hospital became an independent health service with a new Board on 1 July 2004. The functions of the Board are set down in section 65S of the Health Services Act 1988. The Directors were also required to establish Board and Advisory Committees.The Board Secretary is currently responsible for taking minutes of each Executive Committee meeting and distributing the Agenda Papers to members prior to each meeting. The unsigned minutes of each meeting are distributed with the agenda papers for the next meeting. The approved minutes are filed with those agenda papers.Some of the Hospital's Executive Committees report to Board and Advisory Committees (see VPRS 17572 p0001), as required on particular projects / issues. Therefore some minutes and reports from the Executive Committees are tabled as part of the Agenda Papers for Board Committee Meetings.Important proposals instigated at executive level would have been reported up the line, firstly to the Board and Advisory Committees and then submitted for final approval from the Board of Directors (see VPRS 17549 p0001).
