Research Data Infrastructure: What Your Library Can Do

The following discussion presents several ways in which libraries can engage in research data infrastructure (RDI), which we define as a specific mix of technology, services, and expertise organized locally or globally to support research data activities across the research lifecycle. In Europe, they refer to RDI as e-­‐‑Science and in the States they call it Cyberinfrastructure. Regardless of what name is used, they all involve aspects of managing, accessing, and preserving research data in an emerging era of data-­‐‑intensive research.
