At present, the understanding of gut microbiome and acute arsenic poisoning is relatively shallow, and there are few studies, mainly focusing on chronic arsenic poisoning and other heavy metal exposure. This study is based on the study of the role of gut microbes and their metabolites in mice with acute arsenic exposure, which has a good research prospect. The clinical treatment of acute arsenic poisoning is mainly general comprehensive treatment and detoxification with specific drugs, and acute arsenic poisoning patients will have a series of adverse reactions of gastrointestinal system such as abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and so on, but the current treatment means and methods are single. This study focuses on the gut microbiome, and discusses the potential of gut microbiome and its metabolites as treatment for acute arsenic poisoning, which has strong practical significance.
