Comparison statistics of VIIRS Version 2 Deep Blue AOD against AERONET observations

This data set provides comparison statistics between VIIRS Version 2 Deep Blue AOD and AERONET AOD at 550 nm for each AERONET site over the globe. The comma-separated values (CSV) files contain the site name, latitude, and longitude of each AERONET site, along with the number of matchups, Spearman's rank correlation, median bias, root-mean-square error, fraction within the diagnostic expected error, and fraction within the Global Climate Observing System (GCOS) uncertainty requirement. Separate files are provided for SNPP and NOAA-20 VIIRS data, and for over-land and over-water retrievals. Filenames are descriptive and self-explanatory.
