Site Data from Archaeological Monitoring at Witton Castle Country Park, Durham 2022

This collection comprises images and spreadsheets from archaeological monitoring undertaken by Northern Archaeological Associates in January 2022 during groundworks associated with the relocation of exciting liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) infrastructure at Witton Castle Country Park, Witton-le-Wear, County Durham. The monitoring identified two wall foundations associated with now demolished parts of Witton Castle, a cobbled yard surface of probable medieval date and a garden wall and culvert of a likely post-medieval date. No artefacts were recovered.
