DNA amplicon sequences obtained from biological soil crust (BSC) and bulk soil samples obtained from a temperate soil in Wellesbourne, UK (2017-2018). Samples were collected over the period of 12 months, across a small spatial gradient. The aims of the project were to determine differences in the community composition of BSC and bulk soil samples, and successional changes in BSC community structure over time.
