Identification of Combinatorial Targets for Anticancer Drug Discovery

The past decades have witnessed remarkable conceptual advancements in cancer therapy, which have catalyzed the approval of numerous new therapies and delivered significant benefits to cancer patients. Nevertheless，most malignant cancers still lack effective treatment options. Currently，with a deeper understanding of cancer pathology and the emergence of cutting-edge therapeutic interventions，we may have come to a crossroads to revisit the strategies for cancer therapy. This article highlights the importance of combinatorial targets not only in addressing the intrinsic complexity of cancer but also in stimulating innovation and strengthening the competitive edge of the biomedicine industry in China. We further summarize potential approaches to identify combinatorial targets and propose future directions that could facilitate new breakthroughs in this area. With this，we hope to provide new insights for anticancer drug innovation in China.
