Individual leaf microbiota tunes a genetic regulatory network to promote leaf growth

To examine whether plant fungal composition contributes to maize leaves growth under two natural soils from Santiago island, Cabo Verde, Tarrafal and Sao Domingos, and in a soil from the UK, Sutton-Bonington campus, we profiled fungal communities established in plant roots , leaves and pot soils in wild type B73 using DNA amplicon sequencing of the ITS2 region gene.
