THE IMPACT OF EARLY DIAGNOSIS ON CLINICAL OUTCOMES IN PEDIATRIC DILATED CARDIOMYOPATHY
收藏资源简介:
Dilated cardiomyopathy is a severe, life-threatening myocardial disease in the pediatric population, frequently characterized by a delayed clinical presentation that severely limits therapeutic efficacy. This extensive observational research investigates the critical impact of early versus late diagnosis on the long-term clinical outcomes, myocardial reverse remodeling, and overall survival rates in a cohort of forty-eight pediatric patients. The clinical investigation was conducted at the Andijan Regional Children's Multidisciplinary Medical Center. The patient cohort was stratified into an early diagnosis group and a late diagnosis group based on the duration of symptoms prior to specialized cardiological intervention and the baseline severity of heart failure. The comprehensive analysis demonstrates that early echocardiographic detection and the subsequent immediate initiation of neurohormonal blockade significantly correlate with higher rates of complete left ventricular functional recovery, dramatically reduced incidences of life-threatening arrhythmias, and superior long-term survival. The findings unequivocally underscore the necessity of implementing rigorous, early echocardiographic screening protocols in primary pediatric care to identify subclinical myocardial dysfunction, thereby shifting the treatment paradigm from palliative heart failure management to active disease modification and structural preservation.
