Comparison of gut microflora of the common kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) with different sexs and ages under different health conditions

Gut microbes play an important role in animals health, and their compositions and changes can reflect the physical condition of the animals. However, the gut microbes of most birds, especially raptors, have been poorly investigated. This study used 16S rRNA gene sequencing technology to determine the gut microbiome of rescued common kestrel, compared the composition and diversity of gut microbiome of the common kestrel in different physiological conditions, and analyzed the effects of sex and age on gut microbes of the common kestrel.
