资源简介:

Supplementary material to Jonathan Lukas Stober, Kathrin Schulte, "What governs droplet spreading on a wetted wall" (https://doi.org/10.1063/5.0258742), referred to as "related publication" in the following:
Direct Numerical Simulation of a droplet impact onto a thin wall film (Isopropanol, air) performed with the ITLR in-house program package Free Surface 3D (FS3D). The code solves the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in a one-field formulation with a Volume of Fluid (VoF) approach, see related publication. The simulation was performed in three dimensions (768³) cropped to 410*111*410.

The data is saved in hdf5 files. For each timestep, there is one file storing the VoF-variable, which is a scalar field with values between 0 and 1 indicating the phases being ambient gas (0) or drop liquid (1), (funs00*.hdf). Additionally, there is another file for each timestep storing the velocity vector field (velv00*.hdf). In total, there are 8 timesteps starting with the moment of first contact of the droplet with the wall film.
#1: tau = 0.0 (moment of first contact of droplet with film)
#5: tau = 1.0
#9: tau = 2.0
#13: tau = 3.0
#17: tau = 4.0
#21: tau = 5.0
#25: tau = 6.0
#29: tau = 7.0
The simulation results of three cases from the related publication are published. Case No. 1 (Reference), No. 5 (1/10 of Viscosity), and No. 6 (free-slip boundary condition)

The simulation was performed as part of the GRK 2160 within the subproject SP-C2.
