Forest Mapping Dataset Based on Contemporary Global Land Cover Products in Poland

The dataset contains three land cover maps, in 6 unified classes (forest, semi-natural vegetation, crops, built up, water and others), derived from original land cover products for 2021: Google Dynamic World (GDW), Esri Land Cover (ELC) and European Space Agency World Cover (ESA WC). The maps are available as raster GeoTIFF files with 10 m spatial resolution, in PL-1992 spatial reference system (EPSG:2180). GDW was obtained based on satellite data for the period from the 1st of May to 30th September, 2021, in a mode version and a combination of these three datasets in binary format of forest and non forest in 8 classes.Acknowledgments: This research was funded in whole or in part by the National Science Centre, Poland (UMO-2024/53/N/ST10/02518).
