Transcriptome of Citrus reticulata

We selected Citrus reticulata with basically the same growth and medium fruiting at the peak production stage. The treated yellow and red fruits were selected for sampling at commercial maturity, and three fruits each in the east, south, west, north and central directions of the tree were collected from each plant, totaling 15 fruits, which were packaged and transported back to the laboratory using black bags, while three biological replicates were set up. Orah mandarin fruits without mechanical damage or disease were sterilized using 4% sodium hypochlorite solution, and after several rinses with sterile water, the 2-3 mm thick exocarp was removed with a scalpel, quick-frozen in liquid nitrogen, and stored in a refrigerator environment for backup. After the samples were qualified by RNA extraction and quality control, the library was constructed, and up-sequencing was performed using the second-generation high-throughput sequencing platform to obtain the transcriptome data of the different colors of mandarin fruit peels.
