In the present study, an intestinal bacteria-free bird (IBF) model was constructed by using a combination of antibiotics to treat the intestinal flora of SPF birds in the early stages of life. Then, the differences in intestinal absorption, barrier, antioxidant, immune and metabolic functions between IBF and bacteria-bearing birds were systematically evaluated. In addition, based on the IBF model, the whole intestinal fecal bacteria of bacteria-bearing birds were transplanted into IBF birds, and the effect of FMT on the intestinal physiology of IBF birds was studied.
