Municipal Year Book: Labor-Management Relations, 1988

<p>The Municipal Data Service of the International City Management Association conducted a survey of municipalities 10,000 and over in population on the subject of labor-management relations. The results of the survey will supply valuable data to city managers, labor negotiators, and others involved in the field of local government labor-management relations. Although the unionization of public employees has steadily increased, quantitative data on the subject are not generally available. This questionnaire examines the relationship between public employee unionization and local governments. It will provide information on bargaining issues, management’s rights, and how local governments negotiate with public employees.</p>
