A dataset of parental implicit theories and young children's learning behaviors

The dataset was collected from 402 Chinese parents with children aged 3 to 6 years old via an anonymous online questionnaire. Specifically, it include variables of parents' implicit theories of intelligence (general implicit theories and specific implicit theories of children's intelligence), children's achievement motivations (hope for success and fear of failure), children's goal orientations (performance goal orientation and learning goal orientation), children's approaches to learning (competence motivation, attention/persistence and attitude towards learning) and demographics (children's sex and age, parents' sex and age, parental education and family income).
