资源简介:
In order to understand the tropical Atlantic ocean dynamics and its role on the climate, the Prediction and Research Moored Array in the Tropical Atlantic (PIRATA) oceanographic program undertakes each year the maintenance of its buoys dispatched in the whole tropical basin (Bourlès et al., 2008; 2019). Brazil is in charge of the maintenance of the buoys at the western boundary and has started cruises to maintain the buoys and collect data since 1998. From 2001, the research vessels used for the purpose were equipped by the Ship-mounted Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (S-ADCP), which measure the zonal and meridional components of the currents along the ship route. The raw data (2 min Short Term Averaged files - STA, and Long Term Averaged files - LTA) from these acoustic profilers have been processed here with CASCADE (Chaîne Automatisée de Suivi des Courantomètres Acoustiques Doppler Embarqués) software (Kermabon et al., 2018) and made available.
