Data used in generating results for the paper "Improved global estimates of terrestrial evapotranspiration using the MODIS and VIIRS sensors." MOD16A3H_5km_global_mosaics.zip VNP16A3H_5km_global_mosaics.zip VNP16_MOD16_tower_site_latent_heat_and_drivers_v7.h5 SAPFLUXNET_sites_for_MOD16_forward_run_v3.h5 OpenET_reserved_CONUS_tower_site_latent_heat_and_drivers_v2.h5 [1] and [2] are ZIP archives containing the global, 5-km simulations of MODIS MOD16 evapotranspiration (ET) and VIIRS VNP16 ET, respectively, both using the parameters in the updated Biome Properties Lookup Table (BPLUT). Other than their 5-km resolution, these global, annual GeoTIFF files are formatted the same as MOD16A3H data; see the User Guide (Table 6.2) for more information. The same scale factors apply to recover geophysical units: multiply the values by 0.1 to obtain [kg H2O m-2 year-1]. [3] is the HDF5 dataset containing all the calibration and validation (Cal-Val) data used in this latest recalibration of MOD16. The dataset and data fields should be self-descriptive, with file-level and dataset-level attributes serving as metadata (description, geophysical units, etc.). [4] and [5] are similar HDF5 files containing the driver data for computing MOD16/VNP16 estimates at SAPFLUXNET sites and at reserved towers from the OpenET inter-comparison, respectively.
