HORSE_AND_IGHG: A Custom Equus caballus Proteomics FASTA Database with Equine Immunoglobulin Heavy-Chain Sequences

Equus caballus protein-sequence FASTA database designed for horse proteomics database searching, with additional emphasis on immunoglobulin heavy-chain/gamma-related sequences.This dataset contains a custom protein-sequence FASTA database for Equus caballus proteomics analysis. The database comprises 75,527 protein sequence entries and 44,917,566 amino-acid residues. Most entries are UniProtKB records for horse proteins, including 75,203 UniProtKB/TrEMBL entries and 292 UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot entries. The database also includes 32 additional partial horse immunoglobulin heavy-chain sequences, including immunoglobulin mu heavy-chain and immunoglobulin gamma heavy-chain constant-region sequences. This FASTA file was prepared as a search database for mass-spectrometry-based proteomics workflows, including peptide-spectrum matching, protein identification, and characterization of equine immunoglobulin-containing samples.
