Chromosome level assembly of Paramormyrops kingsleyae

We assembled a new chromosome-level reference genome for Paramormyrops kingsleyae using a single male specimen from Bambomo Creek using a combination of PacBio CCS reads and Dovetail Omni-C reads. The final assembly measured 993 MB, with a scaffold N50 of 35 MB and 95.29% complete single-copy BUSCOs, representing a significant improvement in contiguity compared to our previous efforts for this species. Notably, 99% of the assembled sequences were assigned to 25 autosomes (2n=50), consistent with karyotypes described for other Paramormyrops species.
