Goats were treated either prenatal and/or postnatal with DHA Gold to induce shifts in the rumen biohydrogenation of linoleic and linolenic acid. The rumen microbial community was studied to examine which bacterial species could be related to different steps of ruminal biohydrogenation of poly-unsaturated fatty acids.
