This bacteria was isolated from fellfield soil from Southern Victoria Island, Antarctica. The strain was initially characterized as hydrocarbon degrader and the genome was sequenced to obtain a deeper understanding of the pathway. We used MiSeq Illumina to sequence the genome and the sequencing reads were assembled, curated and automatically annotated.
