GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF PYRUS CALLERYANA UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF KARSHI CITY

This article examines the phenological development and shoot growth dynamics of Pyrus calleryana introduced under the environmental conditions of Karshi city. The research was conducted during 2023–2025. The vegetation stages of the plant and shoot growth were comparatively analyzed in relation to air temperature. The results showed that vegetation begins in late February – early March, while flowering periods vary depending on the spring temperature regime. The most intensive shoot growth was recorded at an average air temperature of 16–20 °C. Temperatures below 15 °C or above 23–30 °C led to a decrease in growth rate. The obtained results are important for assessing the adaptability of Pyrus calleryana to the environmental conditions of Karshi city and for substantiating the possibilities of its use in urban landscaping.
