CTD data, unit towed simultaneously with a MOCNESS plankton sampler, Antarctic, 2001 and 02, GLOBEC.
收藏资源简介:
CTD observations where collected simultaneously with the towing of the multi-net MOCNESS plankton sampler (1 and 10 square meter units). Sampling was conducted during the periods April - September 2001 and 2002. The survey area included the continental margin to the west of the Antarctic Peninsula extending from the northern tip of Adelaide Island to the southern portion of Alexander Island, Crystal Sound, and Marguerite Bay. These data represent the water column conditions at the time/depth each net was open along the towed track. In addition, a number of critical net tow parameters are reported with the CTD data stream; as such, the plankton data require these files for ancillary net tow conditions. Observations where made from the following ship cruises: Ship names/Cruise ID/cruise dates R/V Laurence M. Gould / LMG0106 / Jul 21-Sep 01 2001 RVIB Nathaniel B. Palmer / NBP0103 / Apr 24-Jun 05 2001 RVIB Nathaniel B. Palmer / NBP0104 / Jul 24-Aug 31 2001 RVIB Nathaniel B. Palmer / NBP0202 / Apr 09-May 21 2002 RVIB Nathaniel B. Palmer / NBP0204 / Jul 31-Sep 18 2002 Cruise dates a generally longer than dates of data. PIs identified as being responsible for MOCNESS tows: Peter Wiebe, MOCNESS 1m^2 unit, all Palmer cruises Jose Torres, MOCNESS 10m^2 unit, 2 Palmer cruises Rodger Harvey, MOCNESS 1m^2 unit, Gould cruise
