The subject matter of these letters chiefly consists of the following: requests that land be measured for the purpose of sale; final report on land sold at auction; and, return of land not sold when put up for sale. There are also lists of pre-emptive leases received annually, reports on the sale of pre-emptive leases, requests for the survey of runs in order that leases might be issued and letters from the Chief Commissioner forwarding applications to purchase land held on pre-emptive leases. The letters from the Commissioners are only from Commissioners within the Nineteen Counties.(2/1612-22). 13 boxes.
