Bangla Child Dataset Birth to 5 Years

This dataset serves as a crucial foundation for designing pediatric health programs and early intervention frameworks in Bangladesh focusing on children aged 0-60 months. The goal is to develop a Bengali conversational agent that addresses the knowledge gaps and lack of information among parents, healthcare professionals regarding information on neonatal and children aged 0-5 years, thereby improving overall child health outcomes and bridging information gaps. The dataset is divided into five main areas: Developmental Milestones and Delays, Screening and Interventions, Health and Nutrition, Parental Guidance and Support, and Common Health Concerns.Here, Developmental Milestones and Delays consists of 92 topics with a total of 323 blocks, Screening and Interventions consists of 66 topics with a total of 358 blocks, Health and Nutrition consists of 79 topics with a total of 550 blocks, Parental Guidance and Support consists of 31 topics with a total of 173 blocks, and Common Health Concerns consists of 74 topics with a total of 528 blocks. Moreover, the domain data distribution of Developmental Milestones and Delays, Screening and Interventions, Health and Nutrition, Parental Guidance and Support, and Common Health Concerns consists of 26.9%, 19.3%, 23.1%, 9.1% , and 21.6% respectively in terms of topic count and 21.2%, 23.5%, 36.2%, 11.4%, and 7.7% in terms of block count respectively. Although the primary intention of this dataset is to serve as a knowledge base for a Bengali conversational agent, it also holds potential for use in fine-tuning machine learning models and other applications in digital health and child development support systems.
