Investigation of the role of Adra1 subtypes and their impact on antidepressant drugs efficiency. Adra1a, Adra1b and Adra1d KO mice were chronically treated by antidepressant drug milnacipran. Microarray experiment was applied to compare up and downregulated genes after chronic treatment of milnacipran itself on w/t animals and the effec of this drug when treated the mice with ablation of Adra1a, Adra1b or Adra1d genes, respectively. Control and Adra1a, Adra1b and Adra1d mice were treated 3 weeks by milnacipran, 1x daily. Mice were sacrified and brain tissue of hippocampus preserved in RNAlater, than RNA was extracted and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays.
