资源简介:
Shewanella species are widely distributed in various aquatic environments and sediments, capable of utilizing metal oxides and other oxidized substances for extracellular respiration, mediating valence transformations of various elements, and playing a significant role in global elemental cycling. Their ability to reduce iodate (IO3-) to iodide (I-) is crucial for the biogeochemical cycling of iodine. Previous studies have demonstrated that Shewanella initially reduces to intermediate products, hypoiodous acid (HIO) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).
