This data in our research Understanding the Impact of Privacy Concerns on Customer Loyalty: The Central Role of Trust in Digital Transactions. Abstract—The rapid growth of e-commerce has transformed consumer purchasing behavior globally yet concerns about data privacy and security continue to pose significant challenges to customer trust and loyalty. This study examines the relationship between privacy concerns, trust, and customer loyalty in digital transactions. As e-commerce and digital platforms continue to expand globally, concerns about data privacy have emerged as critical factors influencing consumer behavior. Despite technological advances such as artificial intelligence and blockchain promising enhanced security, consumer skepticism persists. Using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as the theoretical foundation, this research investigates how privacy issues affect customer loyalty, with trust serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed with data collected from 358 e-commerce users in the emerging market of Java Island, Indonesia, through an online questionnaire. The analysis utilized Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings reveal that privacy concerns have no direct significant impact on customer loyalty but significantly influence trust. Furthermore, trust demonstrates a strong positive effect on customer loyalty, indicating that 54.4% of customer loyalty variance is explained by privacy issues and trust. These results suggest that while consumers may have limited awareness of data protection, trust acts as a crucial mediating mechanism through which privacy concerns ultimately influence loyalty. The study contributes to understanding digital consumer behavior and provides practical implications for e-commerce platforms to prioritize transparent privacy policies and robust security measures to foster customer trust and long-term loyalty.
