资源简介:
Our study explores how rising water temperatures and parasitic infection affect the gut microbiome of zebrafish (Danio rerio). As climate change warms aquatic environments, it may disrupt the microbiome, especially when combined with infection. We raised zebrafish at three temperatures (28C, 32C, and 35C) and exposed some to the intestinal parasite Pseudocapillaria tomentosa to see how these factors interact. Since the gut microbiome helps animals cope with stress, understanding these effects can reveal how fish and other aquatic species may respond to climate change. Our research helps identify risks and inform conservation efforts.
