This study identified 12 metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) derived from the microbial community in the pit mud of the Shuijingfang distillery. Utilizing both second and third-generation high-throughput sequencing technologies, we obtained over 200 high-quality MAGs. Comparison of these 12 MAGs in the GTDB database revealed that their sequence similarities were all below 95% relative to those already present, indicating that they likely originate from previously undocumented species.
