The new chemical mechanisms, which incorporate the 15N isotope, were used to simulate the δ15N values in CMAQ (the Community Multiscale Air Quality Modeling System), in order to qualitatively analyze the changes in δ15N values within Midwestern United States, due to the gas-phase tropospheric photochemistry of the atmospheric NOx emitted from different sources.
