Physical and chemical data were collected using secchi disk, bathythermograph (BT and XBT), plankton net, and CTD casts from the RYOFU MARU, KEIFU MARU, KOFU MARU, SHUMPU MARU, CHOFU MARU, AND SEIFU MARU. Data were collected in the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Ocean from January 1, 1950 to December 31, 1994. Data were collected and submitted by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
