Escherichia coli Genome sequencing. Escherichia coli

We present a severe case of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome caused by Escherichia coli infection. Pathogens were isolated from both blood and urine samples and harbored many virulence factors. Whole-genome sequencing and conventional analyses showed that the isolates experienced beneficial variation both genetically and phenotypically during the disease course.
