Mena Food

The MENA Food dataset is a custom-built dataset created to support personalized nutrition and dietary recommendation tasks in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. It was designed due to the lack of publicly available datasets that include both user health profiles and dietary supplement information. The dataset integrates structured user data collected through a dedicated questionnaire, including demographic attributes (age, gender, country), health indicators (BMI, diseases, allergies), lifestyle factors (physical activity), nutritional goals, food preferences, and dietary supplement consumption. It is enriched with nutritional knowledge to support safe and personalized food recommendations. The full dataset is maintained at the Laboratory of Computer Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (LISIA), University of Constantine 2 – Abdelhamid Mehri, Constantine, Algeria, and is available upon request for academic and research purposes.
