The EMF house price index in Germany increased steadily from 2017 to 2022, followed by a decline 2023 onwards. In the second quarter of 2024, the house price index reached a value of 157.9 index points, indicating that home prices had risen by almost 58 percent since 2015 - the base year. In contrast to many other European countries, Germany has experienced strong price growth.
