Adaptive physical education (APE) is an essential component of comprehensive rehabilitation for children with pathological health conditions. It provides individualized physical activities designed to improve motor abilities, physical fitness, functional independence, and psychosocial well-being while considering each child's medical diagnosis and functional limitations. This article examines the role of adaptive physical education in movement rehabilitation by analyzing current scientific literature on its effectiveness, principles, and implementation strategies. The review demonstrates that adaptive physical education positively influences motor coordination, muscle strength, balance, cardiovascular endurance, and social integration among children with chronic diseases and disabilities. The findings emphasize the necessity of multidisciplinary collaboration among educators, rehabilitation specialists, healthcare providers, and families to maximize rehabilitation outcomes.
