Coexistence of Predators and Prey: Spatio-Temporal Niche Partitioning in Bengal Tiger Landscapes of the Terai Wetlands

This dataset contains activity patterns, temporal overlap, and predator–prey interactions in Shuklaphanta National Park, Nepal. It includes camera trap records for predators (Bengal tiger, common leopard, smooth-coated otter, fishing cat, mugger crocodile) and herbivores/prey species (deer species, wild boar, primates, peacock), along with processed data for activity density, overlap estimates (D̂), bootstrap confidence intervals, and plots of diel activity patterns. The analyses employ circular statistics using the overlap R package, covering predator–predator, predator–prey, and herbivore–herbivore interactions. Figures include multi-panel visualizations of activity densities and overlaps by species and site.
