Corpus Testuale della rivista Archeologia e Calcolatori

This dataset contains the textual sources of the journal Archeologia e Calcolatori and its supplementary volumes. The materials derive from the editorial files of the journal and include both the original layout sources and the plain-text versions used to build the AeC textual corpus. The files are organized in the Volumes directory, which mirrors the structure of the journal volumes and supplements.

Volumes

The Volumes directory contains the textual sources of the journal and its supplementary series.

Journals

Contains the folders for all journal volumes.

Some volumes are subdivided into issues (e.g. volumes 28 and 31–36).

For volumes 7–36, each volume folder contains two subdirectories:

VolumeNumber-INDD/Contains the Adobe InDesign source files used for the original layout of the articles, from which the textual data were extracted.

VolumeNumber-TXT/Contains the plain text (.txt) versions of the articles extracted from the InDesign files.

The file names correspond to the article IDs in the journal’s database.

Supplements

Contains the folders for the supplementary volumes of the journal.

Each supplement is stored in folders named Suppl 01 – Suppl 13.

Inside each supplement folder there are two subdirectories:

S(number)-INDD/Contains the Adobe InDesign source files used for the original layout.

S(number)-TXT/Contains the plain text (.txt) versions of the articles extracted from the InDesign files.

As in the journal volumes, file names correspond to the article IDs in the journal database.
