The microbial samples belong to Biochemical Enhanced Oil recovery Project where Ankhleshwar Oil Field Samples were collected and flooded in Oil Field Simulating Bioreactors to simulate conditions of Oil Fields. These columns were then dissected after various enhanced oil recovery schemes and the biomass was isolated from each section which was later sequenced through high throughput 16s rRNA sequencing.
