A Ti-7Al sample, deformed slightly above the elastic limit and previously characterized by Diffraction Contrast Tomography was imaged using 3D X-ray topotomography to reveal orientation contrast in series of neighboring grains showing the activation of bulk plasticity. Grain orientations reconstructed from the DCT acquisition were processed to run the topotomography series automatically. This resulted in 74 scans covering entire grain clusters, spanning from surface to bulk and allowing to study both plastic slip activation and transmission.
