Stool 16S rRNA gene amplicon in Crohn's disease and Healthy controls

Although gut microbiota is strongly implicated in CD pathogenesis, its role in explaining age-related differences remains unclear. By minimizing confounding effects of therapy and directly comparing across age groups, we aimed to delineate shared versus age-specific microbial signatures of CD and to clarify the contribution of gut microbiota to the distinct clinical phenotypes observed in pediatric and adult disease.
